Default TT Light Problem - I must be the only one experiencing this!

OK, here's hoping someone out there has seen this, because I (and two Audi sevice departments) am and the end of my rope. Here's the story. My 2000 Audi TT Quattro Coupe is experiencing a very odd and aggravating "lighting problem." When I use the keyless to lock the car, about one time a month the passenger front blinker, side marker, and rear blinker will stay solidly lit...leaving the car dead if I don't disconnect the battery. There's no way I've found to consistenly make this problem go away, I just have to wait it out. Sometimes its a few hours, sometimes its a few days (you can imagine the frustation of constantly popping your hood everytime you get in and out of the car!).

Anyway, long story short...I've taken it to a couple dealers and they can't figure it out. I've had it in with the problem occuring and they still weren't able to do anything. Basically, its at a point where they're calling around to other service areas to see if they've seen it, so I thought I'd do the same on here.

If anybody's been through this, I'd love to hear what happened. Thanks in advance!

Default i don't recall if the tt has this feature but ...

at least on my m3, that one-sided lighting can happen if you accidentally leave the turn signal on when you park and lock the car.

Thanks for the advice...have you seen this exact problem before Jeff? Just curious as everyone around here I talk to looks at me like I'm on crack when I explain it!

Not this exact problem, no, but I believe it to be related to the switch. It's abt. $60.
