Default TT R.I.P. (cont) engine is toast

Dealer took the oil pan off today. Big hole and lots of bearing shavings in the pan. So the engine will be replaced. Apparently it's about a 1 week delivery. I hope so given the parts situation often mentioned on this forum. I know the turbo is gone too, but, get this, the dealer won't order the turbo until theyve installed the engine and tried to fire it up. Now that's what I call stupid.<p>ChrisTTopher Lloyd

Default Far from dead, just needs some new parts. He'll be as good as new!

Default I certainly think that Mance has the most accurate handle here.

Glad to hear it's trashed. No kidding. With new motor you will have no doubts.
