Default TT Reliability

Hi all,
I'm new to your forum. I am looking to buy a used TT convertible. I am wondering about your reliability experiences. Good, bad or indifferent. All input is welcome. Thanks.

Default I have a 2000 180CQ with over 50K. Replaced the DV...>>

fuel sender units, coolant temp sensor, MAF, Instrument cluster, and emergency flasher (turn signal uses it) all under warranty. Car runs great otherwise and I wouldn't trade it for the world.

Most of these problems were addressed in the 2001 and up cars.

I would think these cars were relibable. Audi has a 4 yr, 50K warranty so most items should be fixed inder it.

Hope this helps.

Default Have an 03 225 TTR- been a great car

much better than my allroad :-( The ar was in the shop for 4 of the 16 months I owned it...

TT has only been in once (had it 11 months) for nit-pick kind of stuff.

Default 01 Roadster

60k - Just replaced MAF.
Replaced the horn at 30k. Didn't work.
Other than that, peaches and cream!!! and the car drives like a dream.
Never had a problem with the top.
No leaks either with the windows.

Default Edmunds.com : Audi TT Among Lowest Cost of Ownership

Yeaaaahhhhhh RIGHT! ...not once your warranty is up, hummm? A quick read of some of the posts here should be enough to discredit this claim. That said, I love my TT, and it's (supposed) dearth of faults. Gives it character, I say!

http://www.edmunds.com/help/about/press/101841/article.html</a
