Default TT Residuals in UK

An article in Autocar (UK) this week had a short article "TT values defy handling crisis" describing how current TT owners need not fear a drop in values relating to the said "stability issue" as two 180bhp cars were easily sold at open auction. One matched the list price and the other with 10k miles on it went for more!

Another article later on in the magazine reiterates early findings saying that the unmodified TT is predictable with the modified ones being marginally more stable. The article then goes on to describe early issues re: handling with the first Audi Quattro in 1980 where VW execs had a number of crashes. "Quattros were forever being retrieved from the lower branches of trees, yet nobody said the chassis was bad. Just different". The article then goes on and compares it to issues with 911s, BMW 3s and 5s etc and asks would the world have been a better place without them.....errr nope!

I like the news on both counts and Autocar is IMHO a quality read however I'm suprised nobody has sniffed out the software/Haldex rumour.

PS. there was yet another letter of complaint from a reader who wrote in about the spoiler being a spoiler. That's three weeks running!
Last week a cheesed off BMW fan wrote in to complain about an article that pitched the TT 1st against the new BMW 3 series coupe....now that is sad
