Default TT roof rack question

because our roof rails are curved, will I need this part to adapt the VW snowboard kit to our rack system? Anyone else out there used VW accessories on their TT? Please and thanks you!

part right here

Default that piece fits on the OEM TT rack. i have the same one by vortex (OEM VW Golf).

the OEM TT rack is flat across on top and fits perfectly.

Default So you are saying that I do not need the adapters? I just slide the snowboard accessory on the rack?

That would be nice!

Default Yup- don't think you need any adapters. I don't have any.

And I have a stock Audi rack, the ski
attachment and the surfboard attachment.

Same here: OEM roof bars, standard ski/snowboard attachment, no adaptors, no problems.

Default Ha! :>

Last time I went out, the waves were too small
for the real surfers - but I was even happier- only about 6 people out there and enough good waves to get up and stay on top of the board all the way in for the first time! :>

Default Re: TT roof rack question

I put a couple of fender washers between the rail and the ski rack to give about 3/16 space. This works fine for me.
