So, I was reading up a bit, and it turns out that my 2001 TT Coupe 180 is satellite ready from the factory?
Does this mean I won't have to get anything from XM/Sirius if I get Satellite instead (such as a rectangular external interface in the car), it will just be programmed into my stock Bose head unit?
Thanks!

TT didn't get Sat radio option until 2004, but unlike Audi's other cars, the factory Sat radio unit not be added post-factory.
So either your TT has Sat radio from the factory, or you must go aftermarket.

Not saying it is impossible, but it is cost prohibitive. Every other current Audi is just a matter of bolting in the receiver and programming the radio head unit.
