Just traded my 05 TT 225hp for a new S4. I am going to miss the TT she was a very reliable car only minor issues virtually trouble free for 153,000 km.

Wow, not the experience with the TT I have had.
I bought a new 2006 TT 225 quattro coupe in the last month of that year.
I only have 18K miles on the TT..and keep it in a heated garage, ok, I am retired.
Soon after I bought it, the instrument cluster went wild, warning me of Airbag, ESP, and a few other warnings. I have spent many hours at the dealer as they try to figure out the problem. Had the airbag sensor replaced, then the side airbag.
Next, the master cyliner needed to be replaced. Then the vacuum boost.
Just the other day I got the letter that siad I need to replace the ignition coils. The vehicle IS still under warranty, but living 1 1/2 hour from the dealer I have spent LOTS of time sitting in their wainting room.
Sick and tired of it. By the way, the Subaru I bought in 05 for my wife...not one problem in 98 thousand miles of everyday driving.
Can anyone draw a conclusion from this? I can.
Bye bye TT.

I've been looking at S4s also. I'm curious about your thoughts on the Super charged V6? I like the engine setup on the B5 (turbo4) but don't care for the body style. I like the body style of the B6 but don't care for mod limitations on the V8. The power is fine as it will pass anything but a gas station. I'm Torn...like an old sweater. Our TT makes my MGB look dead on ***** reliable!
Fun car to drive...when it is not being repaird. 5 clusters, turbo, 3 clutches, bushings all mush (being replaced with poly), and tons of other repairs.
Going in this week for a couple other repairs - inop wipers and erratic pass door window operation.

I drive the living bejesus out of my cars. No issues but normal maintenace. So far I love the S4, however, the TT (05) materials were of much higher quality. The new Audis including the 08+ TT's are cheap in comparison. I can see why the new S4 is much cheaper to purchase compared to the earlier models as they cut corners on quality of the interior.
