Default TT is tired, needs some work

I have a 2000 180 TTQC that is my daily driver. I just clocked 160K on the OD. I need most or all suspension componets replaced. I will need new springs and want to stay as comfortable as possible. Suggestions on a spring/shock combo??? Also, looking for a good mechanic in the RI area.

Thanks!!!!

Default I just put Koni FSD's, Eibach springs, and CPT control arms on a week ago....

Very comfortable, yet stable and flat in the turns. Go through MJM Autohaus for a Koni/Eibach combo kit with a free 19mm swaybar included for $950, CPT arms are extra, but it'll definitely wake your ride up.

Thanks! Did you have to do the KMAC?

Default CPT arms do the same. You can do either..>>

But you will need to do some camber correction even with the moderate drop (1") from Eibachs..

Default Defcon's are bushing inserts...>

that emulate the original TT front control arms. Read about them at the link...>>

http://www.modshack.info/defcon.htm</a

Default Re: If I'm replacing the whole suspension??

I was thinking of replacing the control arm busing's and maybe the control arms if necessary. Probably the most economical time to do this mod. Anything else while I have everything out? While mechanically inclined, I may have a mechanic do this. Unless we need a guinea pig car for TT east

Default Ha Ha!...No parking lot installs at TT-East....>

Been there done that! At 160K you probably need to do the whole shooting match ..Defcon's are relatively easy to do when everything is apart. I'd plug them, Shocks, Strut bushings/bearings, Camber arms and springs (optional) Into the equation. Get a good alignment after and it'll feel like a new car guaranteed!!

Default Re: Cool, broken spring right now!

How complex is this asuming I get a spring compressor, and have a shop press the bushings? I figure getting the old stuff out would be the challenge.

Default Re: Did you get the CPT control arms from MJM?

Did you do the job yourself?
