Default TT withdrawn from Sale in the UK

Word has it that the TT is currently the worst polluting car available new in the UK. The govt are attempting to introduce new legislation to force manufacturers to either improve the pollution levels or stop selling the car by Dec 2001.
As the TT cannot produce 225BHP without the high pollution levels, Audi is considering withdrawing it from sale in the UK.

Well what do you make of that UK TT'ers - a bit more exclusivity? or lower residuals.

Simon

PS I have a friend that works in the Dept of Env.

Default Simon - you weren't bored were you?

...and decided to wind up us UK TT'ers?

There was an article in a recent What Car (possibly Auto Express) about pollution. While the TT wasn't breathing fairy dust (at least outside), it wasn't the worst of the bunch!

This 'friend' of yours isn't wreaking revenge, fuelled by jealousy of your TT by chance?
