Just got back from a 2000 mile Thanksgiving roadtrip in the TT. Started in Minneapolis on the day it snowed. Here is the summary:
- States/Provinces visited: Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ontario, New York and back.
- Highest speed: 120MPH (Ontario), best roads in N.America
- Most speed traps: Michigan (8)
- Times saved by my radar detector: 4 on K band, 1 on Laser (Michigan)(the rest was visual)
- Most gratifying moment: The cop on Highway 69 in Michigan who took off and followed me for 3 minutes side by side checking out the car after I blatantly drove by him at 10 mph below the speed limit. He must have been really pissed off at me because I slowed the entire pack of cars half a mile before we saw him probably costing him some easy tickets. I guess he wanted to show me who the boss was, but after he pulled over the rusty van behind me I had the last laugh. Warp 9 Scotty.
- Moment of sorrow: finding out that the TT is a 2 year wait in Canada. I feel for my friends.
- Funniest moment: Billy Bub in BFE Indiana trying to race me thinking his pickup truck was faster.
Funniest question: "Is it Japanese?" - car wash attendant in Flint, MI
Biggest compliment: an A8 driver in Michigan pulling off to let me pass then catching up to admire the car.

to confirm the color (silver/black) and the options.I didn't add any option; in Canada the TT already include the confort package. I will keep the 16" wheels for the winter and will buy new wheels (17" or 18")for the summer and put an aftermarket cd changer.
I paid 49,950$ Cdn + 500 (transportation). Of course you must add the taxes (GST & Quebec PST) for a grand total of 58030 $ Cdn!
My dealer told me that my TT will be build on week 2 of 2000, for delivry at the beginning of march.
I'll have to control myself when my dealer will call me, since I don't want to take possession of my TT before the beginning of April (In Quebec, it's still winter in march... and I want to try my new baby with the first warm sunray of spring.
Sigh......
