Default TTR gear box

On my brand new TTR, shifting from 1st to 2nd feels and sounds kind of "crunchy." Dealer says that's normal. I'm concerned that the grinding feel in the gear shift lever will do some damage, should I be?

Default Does it do this when the engine is cold? Read this.

Default Mine does same, mostly when cold - ask dealer if he would recommend this -

New TTs will be going, I have been told, to a slicker transmission oil, the part no. is G 052 726 A2, it might help a little to prevent any possible damage, even though I can't see it solving the "problem" completely. Just be careful when warming up and take first shifts carefully and slowly, i.e., let the stick find its place to go instead of a forceful shift - ie. massage it a bit.
