TTR Oil issues

adding oil between changes doesn't argue against a 10k drain interval. In fact, it makes longer intervals safer. According to MB research cited in some SAE conference, topping off between changes replenishes additives and extends the safe intervals.
Oil analyses I've done on VW engines with 10k changes (synth) repeatedly showed oil in good condition after 10k miles.

Some do & some don't.There's lots of variables. Definitely check your oil more often. Oil is sooooo much cheaper then engines !

Mobil 1 is just fine for 10K intervals but I would drop that to 5K for turbos.
Dino oil is just fine if you're going to change it every $3K, but it's your money, feel free to spend it as you see fit...

the TT is on page 4 of the linked-to document. Since MY 2001, Audi has recommended 10K oil changes for the TT (except for an initial change at 5K for MY 2001 only).
The engine hasn't changed during those years, but the official factory recommendation has - to 10K oil changes. Audi has a roomful of tribologists to figure this stuff out.
