which was going to be known as the TTS or TT Spyder. Lots of folks have been misled like you, WOB, by the badge on that 5 year old picture.

I posted this photo here sometime ago, and yes I do believe it is an illustration of the mythical TTS. The source is a company that does design work for Audi. We could search the archives here for more info.
The other pics were indeed photos of the prototype for the current TT roadster and not the TTS. However, in pre-production days, the TT roadster was referred to as the TTS. Kind of confusing.
