Default TTs for dummies:

i can't stand the ignorance anymore... please tell me:

1. What is double clutching? Why do this and when? (I see info on this below, skip #1)

2. What is speed shifting? Why and when?

3. Shifting without clutch; either of the above or a separate explanation please?

Thanks all you intelligent car folks... I'll get there some day.

Default Double-clutching is for spinless weenies...

No, that's not true - I just haven't perfected my technique, yet.

Mikey (blushirTT) gave me an excellent demo at Bracketfest, and I'm convinced it's the way of the future...

I also want to practice heal-toe shifting, but haven't had much of an opportunity, and I'm never sure if I'm "doing it" (heh, heh) right... ;-)

Default Speed shifting=shifting w/out lifting foot off accelerator, clutchless shifting=matching revs, and

you can do the latter in a TT. I believe you can do the former as well, but I wouldn't recommend it unless you don't like your clutch. :-)

I wouldn't necessarily recomend cluthless either unless you are very good at matching revs.

Default RAHUUUUUUUUUUL !

It's much too early for me to be truly rude - I need to think about it. However, once I have an opportunity to sort out my thoughts about your Cape Coven of TTs, I'll come back here and rude you up!
