Default TT's ESP just saved me (not what you think)>>

So I decided to take a quick blast to Wendy's in the TT for lunch today. This would be my first Wendy's visit since the finger fiasco (which was proved to be a ruse). As I'm approaching the intersection to turn left onto the road Wendy's is on, which is one of my favorite left turns due to the geometry of the intersection, I'm going at a decent clip towards a green light and no cars coming in the opposite direction. I can normally power through this intersection with an impressive display of Michelin Pilot noise and if I get it right, a very neutral 4-wheel-drift leaving me squarely in the right hand straight-ahead lane.

Unfortunately, today was different. Well beyond the point of no return, I realize that since my last time thru this light, the city has installed a left-turn arrow, which, coincidentally, is red. I don't even flinch, after all, braking at this point would leave me stopped somewhere in the middle of the intersection anyway.

Approximately at my apex, I realize my 2nd mistake. ESP is still on. I come to this realization because the car has reduced it speed, without any input on my part, by about half. It is at this precise moment that I look to my left, and see him stopped waiting at the red light. Him = Alpharetta city kitty. My heart just sank. I thought about the fact that my license recently expired, as did my tag, and how I'd enjoy getting to know my new cell-mate until an unsympathetic family member or friend puts up their house to bail my sorry *** out of jail.

Luckily for me, the car was no longer drawing any attention to me, and of course, to the fact that I was breaking the law. As I sauntered on by the po-po, I realize he's looking down, reading or writing or taking a bite of his big mac, totally unaware of my presence. Had the ESP not ruined my fun, I don't think this would have been the case.

Now it's time to see about getting some stains out of my favorite pair of underwear. ;-)

Default I was turning off Bethany Bend Rd onto Hwy 9>>

it's a wide, wide left turn and most people take it as such, however, there's ample room to cut it short and nail the apex late about where a car's left bumper would be if he were waiting to turn left from 9 northbound onto Bethany Bend.

Default D A M N. ESP Off, had saved me before.

over the summer my family and I along with a friend went to OBX. On the way home a car go road rage with my brother (he was in his "pos" Neon)(I saw pos becuz he had a Cayanne Turbo, S500, S4, 911 C4s at the time). They went back and forth and the car ends up swerving into and cutting my brother off, I get to the car's door which I may add was a Civic and she swevered into me. I had to give a quick swerve to the right which at the time I hit gravel but did a nice nail and swung the steering wheel, Corrected and provented the car from going in to a 360. After gaining traction I wheeled in that B I T C H and layed down the horn for a good couple mins. If ESP had been on it would not had let me use my power to gas my way to correction and would have ended up skidding in to the ditch that I had avoided after hitting the gravel. It was fun expierience for me but nerve racking for my parents who were following behind me in my mom's Murano and my friend who was my passenger.

Default I'll trade you front control arms.

Even, yours stock, for mine with Powerflex bushings. ;-)

Seriously, ESP was retro-fitted as part of a recall to cars out the gate without it. I spoke with a tech the other day at the Atlanta Grand Prix, who says that he installed the spoiler on my '01. I asked him how they did the ESP, and he said all cars were sent off to Texas (I think) for that. So it's possible yours had part of the recall done but the owner elected to not get the ESP installed.
