Default Turbo cooling pump problem.

My cooling pump is not pumping anymore, simple check if there is power going to the pump if so get a new one. Well using a Craftsman multimeter I get 0.28 V going in to the pump is this right? Can someone unplug their working cooling pump and get a reading with a multimeter to compare my result. I just hope all I need is a new pump and not a new wire harness. . Is there a specific fuse for the cooling pump if so which one is it ???

Thank you

It should get full battery voltage.... 0.28V is probably within the error of the craftsman DMM.

Default Been a few pump failures reported here lately.....

If it's not running check fuses naturally...Are you getting that voltage after switching the key off (when the pump should run)? It's a 12V motor, so should be getting 12V. I don't know if there is a relay or not....I suspoect there may since it triggers at Key off....

Default Fuse 16. After-run coolant pump p/n 078 965 561

Mine was recently replaced under warranty. See link for part at World Impex currently priced at $106.41. If the pump is working, you can certainly hear the pump running when you turn on the key and when you turn off the key. My pump also had a very small leak which has also been reported by others here.

I definitely have a bad pump. When I turn the key I get power in the plug if there is nothing on the receiving end power goes away. If I plug in a 12volt lamp it stays lit, but the pump refuses to work. Time to get a new one. Thank you for the part #.
