Default Turbo oil seal replacement

Anyone done it on their own and have a simple procedure or can offer a guy some help. I have a '01 180hp with 90K and AWP. I checked the FAQs and found nothing. I can't seem to find anything online anywhere that is straight forward and "relatively" simple. Thanks in advance.

Default It's not a simple fix. Would required some special tooling.

Doable but not for your average DIY guy.

Default How do you know it's a turbo seal??.......>>

If you have a lot of oil in the intake tract, 9 times out of 10 it's a faulty PCV system..

I think its the turbo seals cuz I have a good amount of oil on the bottom and back half of the engine, directly under where the turbo sits. I'm alittle lost as to what else it could be. The entire front of the engine is clean.

all the blow by would be in the intake and exhaust. You'd see smoke or oil in the intake tract. Leakage over the back of the engine is most likely a valve cover gasket and/or a turbo oil feed line joint. If it's concentrated under the tubo I'd take a hard look at the feed line..

Default Dr. Schwing is correct.

Turbo seal is usually blown due to wobbling rotor caused by worn bearings. I know - I replaced a turbo b/c of it and lucky I did - the rotor was wobbling so much it was getting ready to impact the housing (guess what happens then?). A leaking seal manifests by smoking when deceleratiing and idle and oil collecting in the intercooler(s).
