???
Tonight, a cool evening, I noticed the temperature needle in my car went one full notch above the mid line (where it normally rests)...Then, when I got home and the car idled a little bit...it started to climb even higher...!!!!! The car doesn't seem to have any odd smells or sounds...Also, I was NOT driving the car hard...
Any ideas?

is malfunctioning if there aren't any other indicators of overheating. My speedometer (granted, not as crucial as temp) went haywire once on a short drive where it read 40 mph at rest, and continued upward as I drove. Very weird, but hasn't happened since.

You are still well within normal water temps. You can always switch the A/C Control to #49 and see what the temp really is if you are worried about it. Normal is 90*C, high is anything above 110*C which is still not close to boiling the anti-freeze/water mixture in the car. I believe the first mark is 95-98*C, the second mark is 102-104*C

as long as it doesnt peg at redline..and you can hear the fan come on...dont worry bout it...at mid point temp shoudl be maybe 87-93
