Kind of a nasty grinding sort of noise, speed dependent. Changes timbre with brake application, but doesn't go away or change in volume much.
Pulled a rear wheel to check the brakes today (wishful thinking) and they have some life in them yet. I suppose it could be a bearing, but I tend to doubt it. Especially once I noticed a little puddle under the Haldex. Crap. There goes a few grand. I'm having it towed to the dealer tomorrow I guess. :^/

Oddly, the timbre only changes with the application of the brakes, not when downshifting to slow down.

If the Haldex or rear diff have lost their lube then noise is likely the first symptom
Is the noise cornering dependant? does the noise increase turning right or left while rolling? ...can indicate a worn wheel bearing
got vibration? a whacked CV joint in the halfshafts or driveshaft makes noise, but usually vibrates too...
good luck!

The caliper clamping down on the rotor would explain the change in sound. Try applying the parking brake while driving at a steady speed. If the sound changes much then, keep your fingers crossed that it is simply a wheel bearing. Hope that pans our for your sake.
