I have just spoken to the manager of the dealership and he is trying to source me another
Car he is very apologetic about the confusion.

I may have jumped the gun threatening legal procedings so ill hold fire and give them a chance.

What dealer was that in the West Country ?

The dealer was in Yeovil Somerset - Loders. The worst thing they did was to sell the showroom model - I had asked them in December why I could not buy it - given I had been waiting since March 1997 for mine. They lied and said it was a new one! (- it was quite obviously a showroom model) although I was number one on their list for three years. The salesman just took me for a real chump! Also the only thing they had to get right was to de-badge the car - when I picked it up there were all the badges. I could go on - the best was when he told me that I should wait until I got the car before I went ahead and bought a personal registration - I told him exactly where to get off!!
