I picked up this random orbit buffer at Home Depot today for $24.95, plus an extra set of pads for $4.95. I had gotten the 3M Hand Glaze, and also the Swirl Mark remover earlier this year.
I tried this first on our 6 model-year-old Santorin A4.
Mind you, this car has seen some rough use, as the car came from CA and FL, with some heavy scratches on it already.
Wow.
Check out the results.

I then tried it on the TT, but just using Zaino Z-6 Gloss Enhancer, with a very soft lambs wools bonnet (included in the kit) on the buffer.
Awesome.
The pics don't do it justice.
I'm hooked. It was really easy to use, I just guided it around the car surfaces.
I used the foam pad on the buffer to spread the swirl mark remover, and then a terry cloth pad and lambs wool bonnet to buff. I used the lambs wool exclusively with the Zaino Z-6 on the TT. Some excess from the buffing got onto other parts, but it easily wiped off.
I had to follow it up on both cars with my regular polishing cheese cloth, but the buffer really made a difference. The 3M Swirl Mark Remover alone was great on the A4, along with the Hand glaze, it made for a very deep, wet looking shine on a 6 year old car, and it really made the Z-6 Zaino on the TT look ever deeper.

every polish/wax system whose instructions I've read says "do not buff" with the orbital. Apply with it, but buff by hand (especially the wax) with 100% cotton terry towels.
