Default Update on coolant temps. Monitored temps. through HVAC as per TTinCT.

After a combination of about 30 mins of driving and idling, got to 114c and immediately shut off car. Some things I noticed; car idled rough at times in higher temps. and checking periodically the drivers side fan never came on. Could this be temp., fan sensor, fuse or something else. Thanks in advance!

Default Should hover around 90C....>>

With blips above until the fan kicks on and brings temps back down. Sounds like you have a fan sensor issue.

Is it easy to replace the fan sensor? Did a search and couldn't find any write ups?

Still under warranty? Several have been replaced.

Default Uh, there are no official write ups, here are the links I've saved on this >>

It looks like it's easier to replace from underneath, with the belly pan off (but I'm not sure, I have not done this). Read through these posts and decide if it's something you want to tackle.

Here is a pic of the switch (#6):

Default When I had this problem, it was a bad fan that also took out the fan-control electronics

The temp sensor was AOK.

With a Air-cond on, the one fan would run at low speed but the other never came on.

Dealer took care of it.
