An update on the Georgia VW owner being sued by his dealership . . .
Here is the link that someone posted on here 2 days ago . . . well this has SWELLED to well over 125 automotive and motorcycle websites all over the WORLD! The thread has over 95,000 page views and is already 24 pages long with almost 800 posts!
<a href="http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=52126">Jim Ellis VW vs g-man_ae</a>
The dealership has been getting telephone calls, e-mails and who knows what else. VWoA is also receiving the same thing. The dealership finally broke down yesterday and wants to settle the dispute! My guess is something will be posted on Monday somewhere around page 50 as to what the settlement will entail.
Thought everyone might want an update on it.
Have a Happy Turkey Day!

Excellent service experience at Jim Ellis....dealership jumped over backwards for me...
Several years ago, the ecu on my 1986 4000S failed when the new unsealed windshield caused a leak into the unit while I was 500 miles away from home on a trip to Atlanta.
I called Service Advisor Greg Hamilton at Jim Ellis at 7:00am, had my car trucked in as advised, and by 10:30 had a diagnosis of the ecu failure.
Most dealers do not stock spare ecus as they rarely fail on their own.
Had it not been for the personal assistance of Greg, who himself owned a 1986 4000S that was in casual use, I would have been stranded for two days (along with another business companion/passenger) in Atlanta.
Greg volunteered to retrieve the ecu from his car while at home for lunch and swapped it with mine, later putting the replacement in his car.
I can't thank Jim Ellis and Greg enough or say enough about how this dealership provided one of the BEST service experiences I ever had from an Audi dealer. :-)
Sounds to me like the VW complainer already had a chip on his shoulder about the dealership when he starts off....they never wanted to deal on a car, so we always bought elsewhere.
