Default Update on the rescue of my clips...tragic ending

Thanks again for everyone's ideas to retrieve my sun glass clips from under the seat track on driver's side.

Unfortunately, while using these thin pliar-like tools my garage owner friend supplied me, I smashed them in two (delicate things).

Oh well, it's not the $180 I have lost!

Anyone else lost anything under their seat before? How did it turn out?

It's like a one-way void under there...

Default My wife decided to "freshen up" before going into a store this last weekend ...

and dropped two mini eye shadow applicator things one under the seat track on the driver side and the other under the track on the passenger side. The screw driver tool by the car jack worked like a charm. It took some cussing and some painful twisting to get into position but got them both out in about 10 minutes.

FYI ... AoA has a Seat Track Recall (recall #: STR), you might qualify, check your VIN.

Default Actually lost one thing and found something else....

This was the A4. Dropped something which we will refer to only as an implement under the driver's seat. When we stopped, I went digging for it and came up with one of those digital watches which have address book on it. Apparently the previous owner's boyfriend/son/whatever dropped it. Actually used the addr info to track down the previous owner 2 years later when the aftermarket stereo was..ahem...removed and got cost info.
