Default Upset with Shipping Costs from TTStuff..... Update: They Corrected

Today I ordered 2 gauges and several small items from TTStuff. They calculated individual shipping charges on each item on my shopping cart.

A $9 item had a $4.85 shipping charge. A $7 item had a $5.55 shipping charge.

My total order was increased 28% in just shipping costs and this was for 3-5 day ground shipping.

Update:
TTStuff emailed me and said it was a website glitch and refunded the majority of shipping costs. I emailed them and thanked them but suggested they offer a phone # so people can call them on issues like this. They are not always great at responding to emails. My Thanks to TTStuff.

Default My point is ...

does he think TT Stuff is ripping him off for shipping charges? When is the last time he had stuff shipped? It's the size/weight of the stuff shipped, not the value.
That is all.

00180FWD; GIAC, Borla, BoostMachine, HyperBoostDV, AWEBoostGauge, etc ...

Default i think he uses USPS and their boxes. This means he has to

charge per shipping box and he possibly doesn't have the box required for one massive ship.

Default How big do you think a box of stuff being ...........

An oil gauge, a volt gauge, a drain plug sensor, a small roll of wire, an oil drain plug, 2 fog light bulbs, and an armrest plug button would take? Can't weigh more than a couple of pounds.

My family orders alot of things over the internet. This is clearly a rip off.

I just post this stuff to maybe keep someone from getting surprised too.

Default Rather than "flame" TTStuff here, just talk to them about this and I'm sure they will work with u.

I do think that the lack of shipping info posted on their website though is pretty bad on their part. Also, our friend Martyn in the UK will ship much heavier stuff accross the pond for less than what you are paying and the trend with most e-commerce sites is that the buyer always knows where he stands on shipping costs when completing an order and not only at the very end like with TTStuff. Amamzon.com does a great job of this. Don't sweat it too much though, life it too short for the dollars we're talking about. And if you really don't like it, just find another vendor.
