Default UpSolute Chip - Yay or Nay

Well, I'm sending my ECU to somebody this week to reprogram it. I checked out most of the major tuning houses and was impressed by the extensive data Upsolute had on their site. They're based in Austria w/ US dealers. I've read lots of past threads concerning them, with mixed opinions. Soooo, what have ya'll heard about their chips? I think this might be the opening salvo in ChipWars 2004, knowing you guys!<ul><li><a href="http://www.upsolute.com/eng/index.html">http://www.upsolute.com/eng/index.html</a</li></ul>

Default BIG nay... read up on Vortex...

Stick with one of the majors. Or IMHO.. just go Dahlback.. his tuning is years beyond the rest.

Default Damn Dahlback = Dollars

Yeah, but their basic chip, I just checked on it and it's upwards of $800 bucks, for only about half the horsepower gain that other chippers claim.!?<ul><li><a href="http://www.dahlbackracing.se/english/main.asp">http://www.dahlbackracing.se/english/main.asp</a</li></ul>

Default Um... since when? 1/2 the horsepower gain? It's the same or better.

Yes it's $800. And having run GIAC and REVO before... it's 100% worth every penny.

And FWIW.. the 263 claim is higher than most other chippers.

www.kmdtuning.com

P.S. I wouldn't run Upsolute's 1/2 assed programing if it were free.

Per Dahlback's website: 195/hp, 276/ft-lbs of torque with their 180 hp chip upgrade.... that's what they claim!

Default You've got a 180?

I'd honestly trust Dahlback's chip... regardless of claims.. will EASILY outdo any others you can offer up.

Default Not to mention this:

If you do a free flow air filter, and a catback, Dahlback is at 215/287.
