V1 Radar and Tint

If you're really worried, just lower it a bit to a position behind and slightly right of the mirror. Of course, if you don't have the remote display, this can be awkward.

http://www.valentine1.com/lab/MikesLabRpt2.asp</a

Try the previous "Ask Mike" as well
[shaky science]
I'm definitely not an expert but I'm going to say no - X, K, and Ka are not optical bands, they're radio waves. So I believe the stock tint won't have much effect.

My V1 is mounted high up and I've never had a problem with the real signals. If it's instant on or laser, you're probably toast anyway, even if the windshield had no effect, and anything else you should have enough warning, evening if there is some degradation from the signal. Maybe not at 120 alone in the left lane, but in "normal" use.

http://www.valentine1.com/lab/MikesLabRpt1.asp</a
