slide you thumb, or other important digit into the small space betweem the cover and the base. Remove the cover from the round base that holds the valve stem caps.
Carefully remove each cap from its snug holding spot in the base.
You will notice that there are 5 valve stem caps, but you only have 4 tires.
DO NOT BE ALARMED!
DO NOT CALL AUDI!
DO NOT CALL YOUR DEALER!
DO NOT CALL AofA!

This is not the fault of Audi, your dealer, or Audi of America.
There are no dealer serviceable repairs for this condition.
You are completely on your own as to how you wish to use this product, but be aware, the use of more than the 4 supplied valve stem caps, at one time, and on one car, may void your warranty!

Audi has issued a service bulletin on this, and all dealers are aware of this condition.

They will be watching you!

Also, if the dealer-supplied part is not installed properly, your warranty on the entire vehicle made be made invalid!

Please make an appointment now with your local dealer to have this important Audi-OEM part installed properly on your Audi vehicle!"

I think mine are defective, they look like "LL" instead. ;-)
