VaniTTy plate upddate and testiment to NJ DMV futility
Over 2 months ago I finally got the letter from my leasing company allowing the placement of vanities on "their" car (required in NJ). The next day I mailed the application, leasing approval and check to NJ DMV. Five weeks later, the entire package was returned to me because I enclosed a $100 check instead of a $50 check (I was feeling generous, who knows...). OK, my bad (sort of) but five weeks?! Well, four weeks after I re-sent the application I finally received notice that my requested plate had been approved: GUIL TT (a reference to my 11 years as a prosecutor).
Now I only have another 10 weeks to wait for delivery of the plates themselves. It's a good thing I like the car enough to keep it until the plates arrive!
SuiTTman, I'll get a pic to you soon enough...
Sorry for the rambling. Off to reload the CD changer. Feeling a little Genesis (the real old stuff) coming on....

May I recommend "The Musical Box" (Nursery Cryme) at maximum volume? Guaranteed to....
....blast bureaucracy blues into oblivion. If that doesn't work, 'Sweet Wine' from Live Cream Vol 1 is a good Plan B.
FWIW I ordered my FL vanity plate the day I took delivery of the TT, and it showed up about 45 days later. I like the NY system which lets you check availability and order via the web, FL isn't quite that sophisticated yet.

225QC, Genesis, Cream & Tull (sounds like a law firm)

Thanks for the reminder !! I'd forgotten about that one....
Time for a CD ordering binge, the vinyl versions just don't fit in that tricky little changer :-)
