Default dealer is definitely not where the car should be....a good tuner will>>>

do what you noted...it will be worth the wait...

Never dismiss the battery....you can check it easily with a volt meter after the car has sat overnight...

You aint gonna believe this, it sounds like a bad battery cable or ground strap.

Default Resolution!!

The VW dealership was able to figure out the problem. It turns out that the ignition switch was bad. Who would have thought?!?

Re item #4: The wires for OSIR LED ring may be getting caught by shifter.

Default Yup. That caused the car to turn off when put in reverse, all...

the fault codes, everything. They installed the new switch for free, too - but to be fair, they charged me 6hrs labor previously and didn't get anything accomplished. I'm just glad to have my car back!

Default I know that feeling -- both getting the car back and getting gouged for diagnostic time.

Glad it's back though! What a hassle.
