Default Correction Magnusun-Moss and to answer the HP ? the burdon of proof still

is on the Dealer i.e. Audi to prove the part malfunction is due to your modification wether it be chip exhaust whatever. It does not iliminate the chance that they with reasonble experience and history could determine that it was in fact the "mod" that caused the failure however unlikely.

Audi claims that a chip just voids the warranty as simple as that. That is incorrect and is not legal.

This act does address it and the use of aftermarket parts in your car. it's too long to cover all the points. But you as a consumer have the right and protection of that to use aftermarket parts on your car without losing your warranty.

Default Marsha - nothing personal - but you really don't want to get lawyers involved

Its better to just go to a friendly dealer.

Default Burden of Proof assumes that you're in litigation or some alternate dispute resolution....litigation

against a party like Audi would probably cost you much more than the value of the car and certainly more than paying for the necessary repairs(if any)yourself.....like Tommy says..find a friendly dealer or switch out your chip before service.....
while you probably have some protection under magnuson-moss, as a practical matter, you don't ever want to be at the point where you have to rely on it...not even legal advice, just common sense....

Default No argument what so ever..my first reply said that I swap my chip out..avoid being in that situation

Second...go to a friendly dealer. 3rd-10th every option available but I still stick by if you get to number 11 down the option trail it is legal time and I have never ceased to be amazed at what 1 call from an atorney can get done
