Default Vortrag TT Quattro Exhaust - Released (initial purchase discount)

<img src="http://www.turbo5.com/gallery.php?displaypic=%21PRODUCTS%2FVortrag%2FMvc-174f.jpg&non_lr=">Hi all,

We are very proud to introduce Vortrag's brand new exhaust for the Audi TT Quattro. It is designed and manufactured by Vortrag Motorsports. The exhaust is hand made of 2.5" diameter stainless steel tubing with full mandrel bends. The triangular muffler (an exclusive) is custom made and designed by Vortrag to ensure the best fit possible and is highly efficient. With only a single muffler power improvements are great (helped by the 2.5" straight through diameter... the largest offered on any TT exhaust).

<img src="http://www.turbo5.com/gallery.php?displaypic=%21PRODUCTS%2FVortrag%2FMvc-183f.jpg&non_lr=">

The exhaust is cat back meaning the entire restrictive stock exhaust is replaced. Tips are 3" in diameter and fit the lines of the TT beautifully. This exhaust is offered only in dual-tip, but it fits both the 180hp and 225hp TT's. For the 180hp TT, a new rear valance must be purchased. We do NOT sell this item as it can be obtained from dealers such as www.clairparts.com for $49.99 or less. It must then be painted to match your car at a bodyshop but this too will be a small fee as it is a small piece.

To introduce the exhaust and in the general holiday spirit we are offering an initial purchase discount. The first 10 orders will recieve a price break of $200 off the usual price. The retail price will go into effect after the first 10 orders are recieved.

The exhaust can also be special ordered with a straight pipe to replace the cat for the highest performance gains possible. This is however for RACE and OFF-ROAD only.

For many more pics please check out <a href="http://www.turbo5.com/index.php3?SCREEN=gallery&dir=%21PRODUCTS%2FVortra g"> the Vortrag gallery</a> on the Turbo5 website.

Pricing:
Initial Purchase: $1150 plus shipping
Retail Price: $1350 plus shipping

We have units in stock and are ready to ship. Each exhaust has a full warranttee against labor, rust, and fit.

If you are interested in this initial purchase please contact <a href="mailtoan@Turbo5.com">Dan@Turbo5.com directly!</a>

Default For those interested on the TT forum...

There had been some discussion on this forum awhile back about "try before you buy" volunteers in various areas for chips. For people in Chicago, I'm happy to volunteer my car as a "listen before you buy" example for the Vortrag exhaust...

Just decided to offer b/c I know it's tough to buy something on the basis of a JPEG without hearing it.

Default Unfortunately the events in our area...

... seem to always be way out in the suburbs and it takes me an hour of not-very-enjoyable driving to get out of the city (live downtown).

Anyone feel like coordinating a Chicago event? I'd be happy to help w/ this, but I don't have a list of TT'er people in Chicago.

Default Maybe we could do something closer.

I'm out in the burbs too, but I'd make the trip in, or split the distance. Oak Brook? Shaumburg? Just some thoughts . . .

Default You can add me to the list ;-)

I go to school in Evanston but am from Highland Park (45 min north of downtown along sheridan) I would be very interested in hearing your dual because I had planned on ordering the MTM in the spring but his provides a interesting alternative.

Default Sounds like a plan... (more)

Anyone have a list of Chicago TT'ers?

I see plenty in the city, very few ever "flash back" when I hi-beam them :-( so I'm guessing there are a significant number on the street who are not enthusiast types.

Default Ok, I gotta ask...

why this over something like the MTM (NOT considering price.)

And, I suspect this puppy must be pretty loud. And dare I ask, is it at all "ricey" sounding?

Default A number of reasons...

First of all, I had a Vortrag exhaust on my A4 1.8T which sounded very good (not too loud and certainly not "ricey").

Secondly, a larger-diameter stainless system seems far superior to the other types of systems available and this system's larger diameter allows for better performance.

Third, we have had three Ruf exhausts on our Porsches (RSA, C4S, 96T) and the Vortrag exhaust attitude best matches the understated growl (as opposed to ricey, static roar) of the Ruf exhaust systems.

Fourth, if I thought the MTM exhaust was a significantly better-built product, I would have bought it. Are Alcon braking systems more expensive than the competing Brembo OE products? Yes. Are they better? Yes. Does my TT, wherever possible, deserve the best products available? Always.
