Default VTDA Installed (Steve Schwing is a genius!)

So I ordered my VTDA last week and it finally arrived on Friday night, I was out of town so I didn't get the chance to install it until today.

Steve Schwing is a genius! The intake has made my gas pedal feel heavier and the resulting power is definitely noticable at lower RPMs.

Above all, the intake SOUNDS great. It's not aggresive like most intakes, but the sound of the turbo spooling, and the DV recirculating the air is extremely noticable.

Installation was simple, although I was surprised install instructions were not included. I hope you don't mind Steve, but I mod'd the sticker you enclosed... it matches great with the Misano red!

The VTDA is a great product, and anyone who wants an increase in performance, but would also like to HEAR their engine... this is the way to go.

Default Now that I can finally hear mine (instead of leaking boost) it does sound very wicked.

I've run several different configurations, TTDA with no hoses, TTDA with dual feeds into the fender, just the K&N filter and now my TTDA with a VTDA end cap and this is definitely my favorite config. It's not overtly loud like the open element but you can definitely hear things working. The sound when the turbo spools is definitely different too, a really cool deep whistling noise. Sounds kind of demonic actually.

Default So do you run intake tubes down for the VTDA like you would with a TTDA?

I must have missed some posts, cause until just now I was wondering what the heck a VTDA was.
