Default Warranty work -- Loaner car question..

I'm having my DV replaced tomorrow (along with Winter tire mounting and Bose re-coding) and just learned that my dealer will only provide me w/ a loaner if I pay $25/day for it.

Is that standard practice for Audi or is it a dealer by dealer determination?

What have your experiences been?

Most dealers, if you purchased the car from them will provide a loaner

Default I thought AoA reimbursed them for the loaner? I get a loaner even though I didn't buy the car...

...from them. They said that they didn't have to pay for it anyway.

Default My dealer always offers me a loaner . . .

I had a nice quattro A6 2.8 while my car was in Houston, and a Passat the time before; both times, no charge.

Default I did buy mine from them and they still want $$ for a loaner.

I could understand if the work was strictly non-warranty related but that's not the case.

Hmmmm...

Default I thought it was part of the Audi Advantage, may I'm wrong, anyway my dealer give me a car as long

as I specify when making my appointment. It takes a bit longer to book, but its worth the wait. They also have a shuttle service should you chose that route. I'd make a stink...or find another dealer if possible.

Default Got an Enterprise "loaner" today...

when I took my car in for 15K service/DV replacement/fuel gauge repair. This at a dealer from which I did NOT buy the car. It's a Neon, but you can't have it all.

They didn't even respond when I requested the new 911 Turbo sitting on the showroom floor as a loaner...

Same here. I thought a loaner was part of the Audi deal. (BTW, even Mazda gives loaners for Miatas.)

Default My dealer has "fleet" of New Beetles for this purpose. Have one today as a matter of fact.

Wife's A6 in or gas gauge recall.
