WAY WAY WAY OT: Cute places to get married in CT, NY, LI
Ok.. I know this is a stretch but since you guys have been able to help in other ways.. here we go.
A friend of mine (YES A FRIEND) is getting married next Sept and has been having a real hard time finding a place. Here are is what she needs:
- About 2 Hour away from Manhatten
- 50-70 people
- country setting
- Not too expensive, but not cheap.
Has anyone come across a cool place? Been to a cool wedding? Have any ideas? Help would be greatly appreciated. (you can email or post)

You might want to scope out the following...
Just some ideas. How about...
Candlewood Inn (not sure how nice this but it is right on the lake)
Lyndhurst Castle (Tarrytown) - quote from my Dad, "it's a cool place"
Inn at Ridgefield (nice town)
Longshore was listed by Denny (good choice Denny!)
Cobb's Mill Inn (not sure if this could handle a wedding or not).
Rodger Sherman Inn (New Canaan)
Silvermine Tavern (nice place, not sure about for a wedding though).
Le Chateau (South Salem)
You'll want to ask the questions at the beginning of that URL I supplied to be sure they can handle a wedding or reception.

Simsbury Inn, Simsbury CT. Unreal country scenery in the fall foliage(plus my mom owns it ;)

I know the perfect place! Its in Tarrytown, NY I believe, but I don't remermber the name!
