It may be just rationalization on your part but I've always wanted (more)
some sort of rear wing on mine so I think that I'm OK with it. Of course, I already have my TT without the wing so I will have a choice but I'm sure that, after you get your TT, you'll love it just as much with the appendage as I love mine without.
