She's in Germany, her husband is in Iraq, second tour of duty. She just got a DUI. oops, she is really upset, not sure what to do. I guess she will loose her license. I know it should not have happened, but I think most of us have been lucky at one time or another. She feels so stupid and scared. Sucks being here and having her across the pond. Just needed to throw this out there. I know things like this get posted....help! I am just so glad that she is OK, and everyone else that drove close to her. I guess the call could have been a lot worse, being alive is good.

her, but I am in the Frankfurt airport waiting to head home for a few days... I do wish her the best of luck - I have to be honest, they are not as lenient here as they are in the US (or was she - hopefully - on base?). A good lawyer will be a great place to start.

appears that the first offense isn't too bad unless it is combined with a "Punishable Offense" speeding etc. Then it becomes very strict and serious.
