Default By the way, because the light was intermittent, I couldn't exactly take...

it to the dealer to have them diagnose. Because invariably, I'd get there and it would be off. I guess it had to be on to actually see what the error was. The computer did not throw a code...ever. The only reason I knew what had happened, was because I did the research on here. Then I took my list of possible problems to the dealer with me. Otherwise, they would plug in and find that the computer captured nothing for the lat and long sensors. It's weird. But they tested the sensors and found out one or the other was bad, I can't remember. Still my list of trouble shooting options was the best thing ever.

Next time the warning lights come on, don't turn off the car, hook up VAG and codes will be there.

Maybe it's as simple as a f*cked up instrument cluster?

Default mine kicks in with ABS and ESP flashing on the dash around sharp left turns, even from a stop sign.

Haven't seen any codes on the VAG, but as I mentioned before, it's a "triple sensor" thing under the dash somewhere, about $900 for parts and labor for something that might have the result you did. Will live with it for now unless I can find a more specific fault code.

I have a similar situation and my friend used VAG-Com which with telling the acceleration sensor was bad. However I don't want to waste $150-200 if the issue is still there.

Would the ASR light coming on restrict the ECU performance-wise? I don't feel it going into limp mode and I would care less if it doesn't hurt performance. I mean it a Quattro anyways.
