taken from Autoweek:
"Bugatti reports that development of its awd Veyron supercar is continuing, with cars undergoing endurance tests in preparation for a delayed mid-'05 market launch. Bugatti notes Veyron will be the first production sports car to offer a paddle-shift seven-speed twin-clutch manual gearbox, a variant of VW's Direct Sequential Gearbox. Bugatti's version must handle the output of the car's 8.0-liter 16-cylinder engine, rated at 987 hp and 921 lb-ft."
