Default What the #$%! is with the Temperature Fans?????

Anyone else have issues with the temp control having a mind of its own?

I dont use auto climate control ever but for some reason the darn air/heat fan starts to increase slowly from | to || and then |||||| all by itself.

I am constantly having to turn the fan down to | level again.

Any ideas on how to keep the fan stable???

Thanks in advance!

To turn your air/heat off, grasp the left control switch and pull out gently. Voila!

Default You have the climate control set in the AUTO position!

It would help if you read the manual, it clearly explains how to properly adjust the system . . .

Leaving the setting on Auto you just have to click the left **** to the temperature you want the system to maintain. If you have the system set to 80* and it is 60* outside it will put the fan on |||||||

You would have to lower the temp to around 65*-70* to get the fan to stop blowing so hard. It is pretty intuitive.

I just leave it set on 68*-71* all year long and it keeps the car nice and comfy

The front defroster is another story! lol

Just do yourself a favor and read the manual.

Thanks but that's not what I meant...once the air is on, it starts getting stronger on its own without me turning it up any.

It;s not an on/off problem but rather a "once on" thing.

Default Larry, he says he doesn't use AUTO.

Don't know why, but that's another story!!

I'm with you. I set it at 72* and leave it...perfect.

It's going to adjust on its own until it reaches the temperature you've set regardless of auto.

Default I've seen that too... kinda annoying... sounds like some Herm failed Controls Theory in school ;)

It seems to forget that it is no longer in "AUTO" mode anymore. I ususally just want fresh air coming in without the AC going.... turn the fan low, econ button on , temp dialed to low (do not want heat), and the stinking fan starts speeding up....

Default I have had the same results in the non-Auto setting.(more)

I do not believe you can set the fan in the same way you can set a three speed switch.Have never gotten it to remain at one setting in the non-Auto mode.
