Bought a turbo inlet pipe on eBay for my 2002 225.

My engine code is AMU but I didn't realize til after the pipe install was attempted.

The auction title reads: Forge Turbo Inlet Hose Audi TT, S3 1.8 225 hp 00-02

The description says it's for the following engine codes:
AWW - AWD - AWP - AUM - APP - AWU - AUQ

Are any of those codes for a 2000-2002 225?

I believe those are european codes.

per the Bently manual, for US TTs:

ATC; 2000 180
AWP; 2001-on, 180
AMU; 2000-2002 225
BEA; 2003-2006 225.
