Default What are the driving symptoms of worn control arm bushings?

Last week I adjusted my tire pressures and it helped some, but something seems to be off. Steering feels spongey, and right tire seems to squirm. I have 91k on original bushings. Maybe this is time to do the DEFCON mod?

Default excuse me if im totally wrong, but that sounds a little more like tie rods

and/or tie rod ends. Check here for pricing <ul><li><a href="http://www.autohausaz.com/search/product.aspx?sid=ydxox355ykcmx3rzcse1p345&amp;make id=800002@Audi&amp;modelid=1368277@TT%20QUATTRO%20 &amp;year=2001&amp;cid=26@Steering%20System&amp;gi d=7427@Tie%20Rod%20Assembly">Tie rods</a></li></ul

Default Your top strut bushings are probably shot...>

Put strut bearings in to while your there (parts 5 and 6), and a DEFCON set-up of course! That should get you back to that "New" feel..

Default How could it be strut bushings? I had those put in last year along with a

left side tie rod replacement. Ride harshness has been amplified lately, so strut bushings would make sense here. Right tire squirm seems like tie rod related, but not sure.

Default Well..I didn't know what you had done..>

Jack up the wheel and grab front and back and wiggle to check for tie rod looseness. Wiggle vertically to check the ball joints..

Look at the Lower arm rear bush while you have it up..If dried and cracked, it's time. The fronts hold up pretty well, but a Defcon is better!

Default Last time I had...

two new Konis put on with a left side wheel hub assembly, left side tie rod, right and left side strut bushings. That was from my little accident last year when a curb sprang up in the middle of the road from absolutely nowhere and ran after my car to do damage to the suspension.
