Default What is EDS?

How exactly EDS works of the FWD 180 TT? Is it a limited slip differential?

In my manual (and on the tech specs page of this site) it is named EDS, but I think we are talking about the same thing. The manual gives a rather strange explanation for EDS. It says that is works only below 40km/h and that it brakes the wheel that has lost traction while delivering more torque to the other wheel. This sounds like the ASR system to me!
