Default What fine can I expect? 74 mph in 55 zone in Dekalb County, Ga

I'm a Fla resident, radar trapped.. Question - do the radar scramblers really work?

County Cop says, "you really going to ride all the way to Fla in that little thing?"

Radar scramblers do not work; radar detectors do, but you're screwed w/"instant on"

Default Save money next time...

Buy a valentine 1

Scramblers could... and I put emphasis on COULD buy you a few seconds necessary to hit the brakes.

The way a scrambler works is that it emits a frequency back to the radar gun that typically slows the processing power down and it can't get an accurate reading down. However, if you're driving in traffic, all the cop has to do is gun someone next to you. I wouldn't waste my money on a scrambler. I've got a V1 hardwired like Bipes has on his page. Works for miles. 3 Settings. On the lowest setting, I get tons of falsies, but I'd rather risk falsies and have a huge range than run the possibility of getting caught doing 125 in a 55.

Default Thanks, and I have a Passport that

went off, but by then too late. Speed trap, with laser on tripod, 4 deputies, with a flag, waving people over like they were giving away free money.. I am unsure what the county judge will fine me, but assume that Georgia passes all ticket info to Florida for point "awards".

I'll have a look at a v1 . Thanks.

Default V1 has a 30d return policy so you can "test"... or ebay = cheaper

I got a brand new one for 350 after shipping with the 2nd display... so I have my unit mounted up behind my visor and if it's sunny enough that I need the visor down, I turn the 2nd display on. Pretty convenient. And wiring is a sinch. The wires for it are just typical phone cord.

Default Ain't no radar detector gonna help with instant on laser.

By the time it goes of, you're already toast.
