I know I could spend the $400 on the top of the line setup. But, I really don't want to at this point. I just want alittle warning when driving around town and on road trips. I have never used one before and think it might be wise to pick one up.
I have only recieved 2 tickets in my 10 years of driving, but want to have some sort of protection.
Any suggestions?

and has specs that are near as good as the top of the line models for around $90 at Costco. I am very happy with mine, though it would be cool to have the arrows like the Valentine.

Performance/sensitivity is the same as the V1 (depending on who you talk to); V1's advantage is its directional arrows. Both offer a remote display. The 8500 has some neat features too, like a built-in voltmeter and lots of different display format options.
I have the 8500 and it has served me well.
