TT does not do well with what i refer to as "fad plugs"....
Personally i use Denso's...but they require you to regap every 10k and to replace at about 25k...

NGK Platinum - PFR6Q - .032 gap
The rule goes that for every 50 HP you should go 1 range colder. In which case folks run:
Denso Iridium - IK22 .028 gap
A while ago I saw a test where the NGK Iridium IX
was a solid plug. Not much use of it on this forum.
The above applies for the 1.8T engines.

BKR6E1X is the NGK Iridium IX. Same heat range as the stock PFR6Q. A performance plug according to NGK.
Seems to fit somewhere between the OEM NGK and the Denso Iridium IK22. May be worth a try.
I also heard good things about the Bosh Platin...
Once I put the high flow cats and the IC, I will give the BKR6E1X a go.

http://www.tt-forum.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=113973&start=0</a
