What other difference between the 180 and 225 engine besides the two intercooler??

Default What other difference between the 180 and 225 engine besides the two intercooler??
Hi I am looking to buy a 180 TT coupe, but I search for a chip and only it has a gain of 23 hp compared to the one for 225 engine. If I put a front mount intercooler I can go with the 225 chip??? thanks!!1

Default No, the engines are a bit different...
The 225 has a different intake manifold with the throttle body on the other side to accomadate the dual intercooler setup. Additionally, the 225 engine has a lower compression ratio, a different, larger turbo, and some other internal improvements to strenghten the block including a block girdle. The 225's also all have Quattro and 6 speeds (with the latter not even being an option on the 180's).

What audi225TTQC said plus the 225 has TWO turbos vs 1 turbo on the 180.

not two turbos, but the 225 does have dual intercoolers, the 180 has a single one
