at what speed do you reach redline,
ie. 2nd gear @ 56 mph?
Curious how close the shift points are to my car(A4), and if 6th is more of an overdrive.

All shifts between 6000-6500
1-2 ~35MPH
2-3 ~50MPH
3-4 ~80MPH
4-5 Too Fast! (I do live in Chicago!)
5-6 Way way too fast!
Also, at a steady 60MPH
in 4th gear ~3750RPM
5th ~3000RPM
6th ~2500RPM
I think 6th is definately an overdrive for better MPG..I thought that the stock engine is limited somewhere around 135+/-
Hope this helps, and thanks for the excuse to go for a mid-day drive (not that I really needed one!)

6th gear is less than 1:1 so technically it's overdrive but at peak power (5900 rpm) speed is only 140.8 mph, car can do 152 so 6th is not a long legged overdrive gear.
