Default My Autozone has them hanging on the wall in the back of the store, in about 5 sizes.

If you really have trouble finding it, I could pick one up and mail it out to you if you really need it.

It spun on an OEM filter, or on a K&N? Are they the same diameter/# flats?

Default Personally, I hate changing my own oil because of the filter. Last time I took it to the shop -->

I noticed they were using a pair of these to remove the filter.<ul><li><a href="http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=6970&amp;productId=35730&am p;R=35730">Clicky!</a></li></ul>

Maybe it was A, maybe C, I can't remember. I can check mine at home later.

Default Thanks for the offer, I'll give it another go here. The Pep Boys had like 10 of those things, but

they are way cheaper quality (thin sheet metal). There was one that I could probably have hammered on the end of the filter, but none of the fit "right".

I know there is a beefy version out there, I have uesed one before at DanoTTS4's, but I need the part number and source for it. I am hoping someone will chime in... Luckily I have another 5000+ miles before I have to worry about it again, though.

Default Just reach in from underneath the car. All you do is grab the filter and turn it with them.

It looked to me to be the best solution, similar to the large channel locks, but they are slim enough to fit in the narrow space to grasp the filter.

Default I've used the "spider" for the last 5 oil changes. What I do is...

use a u-joint coupling and an extension. Goes like this...

Oil Filter == Spider == U-joint == 6" extension == rachet wrench
