What weight motor oil do you recommend?

What weight motor oil do you recommend?
I just got my TT a couple of months ago. I recently took it to get serviced and they replaced the cam seals. Somewhere along the line my TT lost a lot of oil. Anyways...time for an oil change. I'm planning on going with Mobile 1 since I usually ran it in my other cars. What weight should I use? I live in California and it never gets too hot or cold here (maybe 85 degrees max and about 30 degrees minimum). Any suggestions anyone?

5w40 is the recommendation in the owners manual>>
no reason not to use it, IMO. Mobil 1 comes in 5w40 sold as "Truck and SUV Formula." Same stuff.
